Clown npc, Child npc, Merchant, opening sequence dialogue done.  NPCs can provide hints, clues, and story background, as well as provide a way for the player to interact with the game world. The opening dialogue in particular shows Syra and the main playable character Yvonne's very own individual personalities and quirks.  

The menu in the first capture glows and floats. Initially the goal was to make it animate to the top after initial player first click. That interfered with the layout of the inventory system and the layout of the other panel screens (such as the pause menu, options menu, credits menu as well).
