This entry covers my contributions for Milestone 2.

This milestone was a lot of prototyping for first phase of the boss fight with Syra is meant to play out. As per what Marcy and I discussed, we split up this phase into "subphases" and I will refer to them as such going forward in this post. 

The first subphase is between 100% and 65% health or ends when Syra runs out of stamina (working as an example but not easily shown). This subphase is focused on larger scale attacks that require the player to be cut off from entire sections of the room. The first attack (part of it is shown below). This attack focuses on vertical sections being cut off.


The second major attack of this phase (shown below) is similar to the first but rather than vertical looks to cut off horizontal layers from the player's access.


The second subphase is much less threatening with it being a full damage focused stage for the player. While Syra is stunned between 65% and 45% health the player is able to attack her freely or as a way to partly build in our survival focused side of the fight, the player can "taunt" (or in this prototype wait some seconds) which causes Syra to jump to the third subphase.


The third subphase hasn't quite been prototyped out, (ignore the raycasts as they serve no direct purpose) however, Syra does move to where she'll be positioned during this subphase.
